The Dragon at Gold Mountain
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. The Dragon at Gold Mountain course is a famous golf course that is located on County Road in the Clio suburb of California. It is a resort golf course that has 18 holes and is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. It was built in the year 1998 and designed by a renowned designer Robin Nelson. The course features include Bent grass type with 91 to 100 sand bunkers and only 150 yard markers. This course winds through woods and hills and was designed to flow with the natural setting of the area. Measuring 7,077 from the back tees these 18-hole par 72 course blends into the landscape and captures spectacular Sierra views. The greens are nestled in the woods, overlooking bluffs above the Feather River. They range in design from postage-stamp sized, to those surrounded with bunkers. Juniper trees are found on several holes and giant granite boulders frame a handful of greens. Open but challenging, the Dragon at Gold Mountain course offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. Their aim is not just to make the green but it is to improve the quality of the game, to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests and members by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
