Heron Lakes Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Heron Lakes Country Club is situated at 3851 Government Boulevard, Mobile, Alabama, United States of America. It is a Private Course consisting of 18 holes. This is an old and established course with tree-lined fairways and elevated greens. The fairways have been wide open since Hurricane Frederick came through in 1979, but the saplings are maturing with each passing year. There is water that comes into play on nine holes. A redesign was completed by Tom Clark in 1989. Earl Stone designed four new holes in 2000. The Course was originally built in the year 1954 and was designed by Bill Bergen having Bermuda Grass type for the Greens and Fairways with Water Hazards and 51 to 60 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 200, 150 and 100 and Sprinkler Heads Marked Their training facilities include a Putting Green and a Chipping Area with a Teaching Professional. There is no Dress Code and Guests are allowed on a reciprocal basis. There is a walking and electric Golf cart access to the entire course and Clubs are provided on rent. Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
