Heatherwood Country Club

Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Heatherwood Country Club is situated at 400 Saint Annes Drive, Birmingham, Alabama, United States of America. It is a Private Course consisting of 18 holes. This course has many trees lining the fairways, and ponds that come into play on some holes. The terrain is hilly and can be strenuous to walk.

The Course was built in the year 1986 and was designed by Arthur Davis having a Bent Grass type for the Greens and Bermuda Grass type for the fairways with Water Hazards and 41 to 50 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 200, 150, 100 and Sprinkler Head Markers. Their training facilities provide a Putting Green and a Teaching Pro. The Dress Code specifies no Denim wear but collared shirt and Bermuda shorts are required. Spikes are not required. Guests are allowed on a reciprocal basis. Access is available for walking and carts to the entire course. Clubs are provided on rent.

Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
