Gulf Links Golf Course
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Gulf Links Golf Course is situated at 3901 S McKenzie Street, Foley, Alabama, United States of America. It is Public Course consisting of 18 holes. This is a compact executive course with mid-sized greens that are well bunkered and protected by water hazards. The fairways are typical of a dunes-style course. The Course was built in the 1996 and was designed by A. J. Stewart having a Greens Grass Type of Bermuda Grass and Fairways Grass Type of Bermuda Grass with Water Hazards and 21 to 30 Sand Bunkers: 21-30 having Yardage Markers of 200, 150 and 100 It also features Tees of Blue, White and Red for 4054, 3686 and 3147 Yardages, respectively. As part of their Training Facilities they provide a Putting Green and Chipping Area with a Teaching Pro. It practices an open Dress code but wearing of Spikes is mandatory. It’s open to Guests with no discounts. There is a path access for walking and Electric carts and clubs provided on rent although caddies are not available.
