Greystone Golf and Country Club

Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Greystone Golf & Country Club is located at 4100 Greystone Drive in Birmingham, Alabama United States of America. It is a Private Course consisting of 18 holes. The Founders Course has several water hazards coming into play on many holes, including every par 5. The fairways are generous, however there are several bunkers that can alter you shots. The greens are large and extremely fast.

The signature hole is at number14, a 197-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot from off an elevated tee and past a lake on the right. If the flag is on the right side of the green, a shot to the back left with end up at the pin due to the slope of the green. The 7151 yard par 72 Legacy course opened for play in 2000. Designed by Rees Jones, this course boasts long, undulating, tree-lined fairways that lead to large, fast greens.

The club hosted the Senior PGA Tour's Bruno's Memorial Classic in 1994. Golf Digest rated this as the 10th Best in State course for 1995-96, and the 7th best for 1997-98. This club provides a beautiful clubhouse, tennis courts and a lovely dining room. Another eighteen hole course is scheduled to open in 2000.

The Course was built in 1991 and was designed by Bob Cupp and
Hubert Green. It features a Grass Type of Bent Grass and a Fairways Grass Type of Bermuda Grass with Water Hazards and 31 to 40 Sand Bunkers and Marked Sprinkler Heads as Yardage Markers.

Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
