Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.
The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Fairbanks Ranch Country Club is located on 15150 San Dieguito Rd Rancho Santa Fe, California. Fairbanks Ranch Country Club was built in 1984 designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. The course type is private with 18 holes. Fairbanks Ranch Country Club features a golf course with sloped, well-manicured, and fast greens that are very difficult to read. The tree-lined fairways are narrow. This charming course offers scenic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. The three nines valley, lakes and ocean are playable in three 18-hole combinations.
The greens grass type is Bent and fairways grass type is Other. The water hazards are available. The sand bunkers ranges more than 100. Yardage Markers ranges from 100 to 200 and sprinkler heads marked. Earliest call for tee time is at 7 am with training facilities. The use of Spikes is not necessary. Rental Clubs are available and walking is allowed on the course. The course is designed specifically to improve the quality of the game.
