El Macero Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. El Macero Country Club is a famous golf course that is located in Clubhouse Dr El Macero area of California. It is a private golf course that has 18 holes and is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. It was built in the year 1961 and designed by a renowned designer Bob E. Baldock. The course features include Bent grass type with 41 to 50 sand bunkers and 200, 150, 100 yard markers. The course also has water hazards that come into play on some holes. The course is flat, but very challenging. This long course is loaded with fairway bunkers. One of the United States Open qualifiers was held here in March 1994. The club also hosted the State Amateur Qualifying Tournament. Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, El Macero Country Club offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels.
