El Camino Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.
The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. El Camino Country Club is a famous golf course that is located in the Tarzana suburb of California. It is a private golf course that has 18 holes and is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. It was built in the year 1953 and designed by a renowned designer William H. Johnson. The course features include Poa Annua grass type with 51 to 60 sand bunkers and yard markers at every 25 yards.
This traditional course features extremely fast and sloped greens. Many of its fairways are lined by out-of-bounds stakes, so shot accuracy is at a premium. The course is built amongst the rolling hills, and water hazards come into play on many holes. The wind kicks up in the day time, coming through the canyon, making proper club selection an important aspect of the game.
