Cypress Point Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.
The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, and Health land, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Cypress Point Club is located in Pebble Beach, California. The club is private with 18 holes. This course is constantly rated as one of the top ten in the nation by all major magazines. The greens are small and rolling. The signature hole is 16, which was the toughest hole on the Professional Golfers Association, PGA Tour a few years back. The Bing Crosby and The AT&T tournaments were held here yearly. Due to the elite nature of this club, guest fees are not accessible for publication.
The club was built in 1928 and was designed by Alister Mackenzie. The Green Grass Type is Bent Grass and Fairways Grass Type is Winter Rye. It also offers Water Hazards and the Sand Bunkers range from 41 to 50. The training facilities include Putting Green, Chipping Area and Teaching Professional golf. Besides, the course has a restaurant, snack bar, beverage cart and full bar. The available products include clubs, apparel and accessories. County Monterey is the surrounding area of club.
