Cypress Lakes Golf & Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.
The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, and Health land, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club is located in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This is a Semi-Private club. This course consists of eighteen holes and structures very well with some features. This course features a wide variety of hazards. Water hazards come into play on all of the holes. In addition, sand bunkers are incorporated into the design every hole but one. The signature hole is number 7, a 224-yard, par 3, requiring a shot to an island green. Four new holes, a driving range, plus a new clubhouse were completed in 1995. The green fees listed are for public play. Walking is permitted after 2 pm on weekdays only.
Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club is design by Gary Baird in the year 1991. This course structure is made by Greens Grass Type of Bent Grass and Fairways Grass Type by Bermuda grass. Yardage Markers is of 200, 150 and 100 Yard Markers and Sprinkler Heads Marked. Its earliest call for tee time is at 7 am. It has training and practice centre with some advance points.
