Craft Farms

Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Craft Farms is situated at 3840 Cotton Creek Boulevard, Gulf Shores, Alabama, United States of America. It is a semi-private course consisting of 36 holes. This club added nine extra holes in early 1998 and now has two separate eighteen hole courses the Cypress Bend and the Cotton Creek Courses. Part of the Arnold Palmer designed Cotton Creek Course is links-style, while the remaining holes are more wooded. Cotton Creek is the first Arnold Palmer designed course on the Alabama Gulf Coast. The young trees on the Cypress Bend Course make it somewhat wide open.

Cypress Bend is also an Arnold Palmer designed track, and has staggered tee boxes on every hole to accommodate a wide range of playing abilities. Both courses have water coming into play several times. The fairways have mounds and hills that will affect your lies, and wind is often a factor. The current owner, Craft Farms, also owns the nearby Larry Nelson-designed Woodlands Golf Course, which opened in late 1994.

This Club was built in the year 1998 and was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. It uses Tifdwarf Grass type for the Greens and Bermuda Grass type for the Fairways with water hazards and 51 to 60 sand bunkers. It has yardage markers of 200, 150 and 100 with sprinkler heads marked as well. Their training facilities provide a putting green and a chipping area with a teaching professional. They have no dress code and it’s open to Guests. They provide an electric cart access to the entire course however no walking is allowed, clubs are provided on rent.

Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
