Covered Bridge Golf Club
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Covered Bridge Golf Club is situated at 350 County Road, 42 Oneonta, Alabama, United States of America. It is a Semi-Private course consisting of 18 holes. This is the ultimate course for variety, where every hole has a characteristic all its own. The terrain varies from level to rolling, the greens vary in size and undulation and the fairways vary in width and the thickness of their tree-lines. There are six multi-tiered greens with extreme breaks in them, and twelve others that are somewhat sloped with subtle breaks. The signature hole is number 15, a 325-yard, par 4, nicknamed The Rock Hole, because of the huge rock that rests in the right-center of the fairway. The Course features a White and red Tees Sloping at 100 and 94 for a rating of 63.50 and 60.60 with a Yardage of 4930 and 4296, respectively. It was built in the year 1980 and has a Bermuda Grass type for the Greens and a Bent Grass type for the Fairway with Water Hazards and 11 to 20 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 150 Only. Their Training Facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area. They allow Gas cart and walking access to the entire course providing Senior and Junior discounts. Clubs are available on rent as well. Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
