The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Chevy Chase Country Club is a private golf course located in Glendale, California, Unites States of America. The course is has a total of 18 holes. This course is very narrow with tree-lined fairways. The signature hole in the 346-yard course is 7 with par 4. Harry Rainville had redesigned this course in 1960. Ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men. The course was built in 1926 by the designer William F. and William P. Bell. The greens grass type and the fairway grass type is of bermuda grass with water hazards. There are around 21 to 30 sand bunkers in the course and the sprinkler heads are marked.
