Bridges at Gale Ranch
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Bridges at Gale Ranch is located in San Ramon, California, United States of America. It is a Public Course consisting of eighteen holes. This club is set in the Doughety Valley and offers scenic views of nearby Mt. Diablo. The rolling terrain on this course is highlighted by 150,000 square feet of sand bunkers, as well as a creek that winds its way through sixteen holes. This links-style design features narrow, contoured fairways and plenty of native brush. The course offers a special six-hole rate during twilight hours. Bridges at Gale Ranch was built in the year 1998 and was designed by Robert Muir Graves and Damian Pascuzzo. The Course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and a Winter Rye Grass type for the Fairways with Water Hazards and 71 to 80 Sand Bunkers. Sprinkler Heads are marked as Yardage Markers. There are colored Tees of Black to Green with yardages of 7081 to 5274 and slope gradients of 148 to 133 with a rating of 74.5 to 68.5 provided respectively. Its Training and Practice Facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area with a Teaching Professional. Dress code only requires that no spikes be worn. A path access is provided for the Electric golf carts and walking. Clubs are provided on rent and the Course is open to Guests. Discounts are provided for Senior citizens.
