Braemar Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Braemar Country Club is located in Tarzana, California, United States of America. It is a Private course consisting of 36 holes. The course was built in 1963 offering two regulation eighteen hole courses. The Guldahl Course is more hilly than the East Course and has tree-lined fairways that are extremely narrow. Water comes into play on the West Course on two holes. The East Course is similar in design, but the terrain is flat. Water comes into play on the East Course on five holes. Both courses have small greens that are medium speed. This is one of the many courses operated by the Country Clubs of America. A three-year, 1.6 million US dollar project was nearly completed in 1997. The changes, overseen by David Rainville and Ted Robinson, included repair on drainage problems, redesigning various tees, greens and bunkers, and widening some cart paths. The Course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and a Winter Rye Grass type for the Fairways with Water Hazards and 31 to 40 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 200, 150 and 100. The Training Facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area with a Teaching Professional. There are colored Tees of White to Red with Yardages of 6061 to 5360 and a slope gradient of 128 to 123 for a rating of 69.80 to 66.40 provided, respectively. Their dress code only requires that no spikes be worn and Clubs are provided on rent. There is Course access for the Electric carts and walking. Guests are allowed on a Reciprocal basis. Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
