Borrego Springs Resort & Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Borrego Springs Resort and Country Club is located in Borrego Springs, California, United States of America. It is Resort Course consisting of 18 holes. This desert-style course offers 27-holes of championship golf. The three nines, Desertwillow, Mesquite, and The Palms, feature elevated tees and greens. The fairways are rolling and open, with an ample number of pesky, strategically-placed sand bunkers. The greens, too, are well protected by bunkers. Five lakes come into play on several holes. On the premises is a 100-room hotel that offers two swimming pools, a workout facility and six lighted tennis courts. Their colored Tees of Black to White have a Yardage of 6569 to 5589 with a slope gradient of 123 to 111 for a course rating of 70.90 to 66.40, respectively. Their Red Tee has a 4822 yardage.
Borrego Springs Resort and Country Club was built in 1998 and was designed by Cary Bickler. The Course has a Bermuda Grass type for the Greens and Fairways with 91 to 100 Sand Bunkers and marked Sprinkler Heads. Their Training Facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area and a Teaching professional. Their Dress code does not allow spikes to be worn. Discounts are available for Twilight hours. Clubs are offered on a rental basis. They provide Course access for the Electric carts and walking. The Course is also open to Guests.
