Boaz Golf Club

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.

The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Boaz Golf Club is a public golf course and is located in Boaz, Alabama in the county named Marshall. This course has many trees lining its fairway, and a lake comes into play on a few holes. The terrain is mostly flat, although an occasional hill can cause uneven lies. The greens grass type is Bermuda and fairways grass type is also Bermuda. Water hazards are present. However, training facilities are not available. Their on-site golf professional is by Mike Parrish. Spikes are essential in courses.

Their goal is not to merely make the green but also to improve the quality of the game. They focus to exceed the needs and expectations of their members, guests and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
