Road Runner Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.
The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course, which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Health land, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Road Runner club course is located in Palm Canyon Borrego Springs, California. It is a semi-private golf course with 18 holes. This par 3 course is affiliated with a mobile-home park. There are many trees that come into play, but no sand bunkers. The fairways are in great condition, and the greens are in excellent shape. The fairways are flat, and there are no elevated greens or tees. There is a lake that comes into play on one hole. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men. This club uses the honor system for payment of green fees, and the cost is the same for guests for both nine and eighteen holes. However, there is a discount for members of the mobile-home park.
Road Runner Club was built in the year 1970. Its greens grass type is bent grass and fairways grass type is winter rye. Few water hazards with 1 to 10 sand bunkers come into play. There are training facilities like putting green, chipping area. Dress code is not applicable and discounts are not available. Walking is allowed for the course members only. Surrounding area includes County San Diego. Homes on course are available. Road Runner Club is one of the best golf courses offering the players suitable playing environment. Its best conditions make it favorable for the players to perform, and come up with their best performance.
