Moraga Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Moraga Country Club is situated at Saint Andrews Drive, Moraga, California, United States of America. It is a Private Course consisting of 18 holes. This course provides great views of the surrounding countryside. The fairways are extremely narrow because they are bordered by thick tree lines. Water hazards, lakes, come into play on at least five separate occasions. The signature hole is the 560-yard, par 5, number18 requiring accurate tee shot between two lakes, then an approach shot over a barranca to the green.
This Course features colored Tees of Blue, White and Red having Yardages of 6151, 5757 and 5108 with Slope gradients of 127, 124 and 128 for Course ratings of 70.50, 68.50 and 69.70, respectively. Moraga Country Club was built in the year 1970 and was designed by Robert Muir Graves. This Course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and a Bermuda Grass type for the Fairways with Water Hazards and 31 to 40 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers based on the Kirby Marking System. Their training facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area with a Teaching Professional. Spikes can be worn and the Course is open to Guests on a Reciprocal basis. The Clubs are available on a rental basis. There is Path access only for the Electric Carts and walking is not allowed.
