Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. La Cumbre Country Club Golf Course is a private golf course located in Via Laguna, Santa Barbara, California. This course features a narrow front nine lined with oak trees, and a back nine that has water hazards coming into play on five holes and numerous sand bunkers. One of the U.S. Open Qualifying tournaments is held here annually. The signature hole is number 13, a 215-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot past the large lake that borders the left side of the green. In addition, a second green may be used for this hole, requiring a 155-yard tee shot to an island green. Tee times are only reserved for Sundays. Nine holes are closed for maintenance every Monday.
La Cumbre Country Club Golf Course was built in the year 1928 and was designed by William P. Bell. It has Greens Grass Type of Bent Grass and Fairways Grass Type of Kikuya. It has Water Hazards and Sand Bunkers as well ranging from 31 to 40. It has Yardage Markers from 200, 150 and 100 Yard Markers.
