The Links at Spanish Bay

This facility, which was named to Golf Magazine's 2002 list of Gold Medal Resorts, features a Scottish links-style course. The course is located alongside the ocean, and has many great views of the coastline. This course was officially certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, the first in the state and only one of twenty-one nationwide to receive such an honor. The co-designers of the course are Tom Watson and Sandy Tatum in connection with Robert Trent Jones, Junior. The course was built in the year 1987 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Junior. The greens grass and the fairways grass in the course are of the poa annua grass type with water hazards. There are more hundred sand bunkers in the course. The yardage markers are of the electronic range system. The training facilities made available in the course are the Putting Green, Chipping Area, Teaching Professional and Golf School. Spikes are mandatory in the course. The course is always open for guests. The carts available in the course are electric. Walking is allowed in the course.
