The Lakes Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. The Lakes Country Club is situated at 161 Old Ranch Road, Palm Desert, California, United States of America. It is a Private Course consisting of 54 holes. This club multiple courses of three nine hole courses, namely, the North-East, the South-North and the East-South, that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. There are water hazards on twenty-two of the twenty-seven holes. These are beautiful courses, excellently maintained, with waterfalls and lakes everywhere. This Course features the signature hole for the North Nine, which is the 155-yard, par 3, number 9 hole requiring a tee shot over water to the green. The signature hole on the East Nine is the 158-yard, par 3, number 7 hole requiring a tee shot over water and a rock wall that member's refer to as The China Wall. Reciprocal play is accepted during the summer months. All the greens are elevated and have narrow entrances. Their colored Tees of Blue, White and Red have Yardages of 6412, 6023 and 5391 with Slope gradients of 117, 113 and 128 for Course ratings of 70.40, 68.50 and 71.80, respectively. The Lakes Country Club was built in the year 1984 and was designed Ted Robinson. This Course has a Bermuda Grass type for the Greens and the Fairways with Water Hazards and 31 to 40 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 200, 150 and 100 and marked Sprinkler Heads. Their training facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area with a Teaching Professional. Spikes are not to be worn and Guests are not allowed. The Clubs are available on a rental basis. There is Course access only for the Electric Carts and walking is not allowed. Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
