It is a public golf course that has 18 holes and is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. It was built in the year 1968 and designed by a renowned designer Desmond Muirhead. The course features includes Bent grass type with 41 to 50 sand bunkers and 200, 150, 100 yard markers.
 
Quail Ranch course's greens are difficult to read, and its terrain is hilly in certain areas. Hence, one can expect some uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on most holes, and there are sand bunkers protecting half the holes. An difficult approach shot awaits on hole number 14, a 387-yard, par 4, which has a pond fronting the green.
