Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Old Ranch Country Club is located in Lampson Ave, CA, California. Their golf course is a private one with 18 holes. This course has challenging greens of varying undulation. There are several water features on the course, and windy conditions are commonplace beginning around midday. The entire course was remodeled in 2000. This course offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. The club was built in the year 1967 and the designer was Ted Robinson. Their green grass type is Poa Annua and Fairways grass type is Bermuda. There are water hazards and sand bunkers vary from 41 to 50. Yardage markers are 200, 150 and 100 respectively. Tee boxes are blue, white, gold and red. Blue yardage is 6454, white is 6053, gold is 6835 and red is 5373. The club carries out training facilities which provides putting green, chipping area and teaching professional. Their on site golf professional is Bob Silver. The club does not have any dress code and spike compulsion. Guests are reciprocal and there is course access. Professional shops are also there which provides different sorts of golf accessories, apparels and clubs. Their surrounding area covers county Orange with no homes and no golf community.
