Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Ojai Valley Inn & Spa is located in Country Club Road Ojai, CA, California. Their golf course is resort with 18 holes. The magnificent beauty of the surrounding area, superior golf course layout, unobstructed views and challenging design will provide you with one of the finest golf experiences offered by them. The front nine is mostly flat, whereas the back nine has various changes in elevation. The greens are very fast. The course was renovated in 1948 by William P. and William F. Bell and again in 1988 by Jay Morrish. Twilight fees are available every day.
The club was built in the year 1923 and the designer was George C. Thomas and William P. Bell. Their green grass type is bent and Fairways grass type is kikuya. There are water hazards and sand bunkers vary from 41 to 50. Yardage markers are 200, 150 and 100. Tee boxes are blue, white and red. Blue yardage is 6305, white is 5962 and red is 5244. The club carries out training facilities which provides putting green, chipping area, golf school and teaching professional. Their on site golf professional is Paul Wipe. The club does not have any dress code and spike compulsion with discounts to twilight. Professional shops are also there which provides different sorts of golf accessories, apparels and clubs. Their surrounding area covers county Ventura with no homes and no golf community.
