Mount Shasta Resort
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Mount Shasta Resort is situated at 1000 Siskiyou Lake Boulevard, Mount Shasta, California, United States of America. It is a Resort Course consisting of 18 holes. This course was built on hilly terrain, and every hole has a spectacular view of Mount Shasta and the surrounding countryside. There are lakes that come into play on several holes, and the well-placed sand bunkers can cause you problems. The undulating greens vary in size, and there is a defined cut of rough on all the fairways. Golf packages are available. This Course features colored Tees of Blue, White and Gold Having Yardages of 6065, 5759 and 5066 with Slope gradients of 121, 118 and 114 for Course ratings of 68.80, 66.90 and 66.70, respectively. Mount Shasta Resort was built in the year 1993 and was designed by Sandy Tatum and Jim Sommers. This course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and Fairways with and 31 to 40 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 150 only. Their training facilities provide a Putting Green with a Teaching Professional. The wearing of Spikes is allowed and the Course is open to Guests. The Clubs are available on a rental basis. There is Course access for the Electric Carts and walking. Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game.
