Mesquite Golf Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.
The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Mesquite Golf & Country Club is a resort golf course with 18 holes, which is located in Palm Springs, California. It was built in the year 1986 by a famous designer named as Bert Stamps. It is a perfect resort course with water hazards, which come in play on several holes. Its sand bunkers are spread all through the course design. This course is interesting enough to give the golfer a challenge. Its greens grass type is Bermuda grass and its Fairways Grass type is Winter Rye with water hazards. It has got around 11 to 20 sand bunkers and its yardage markers are 200, 150, 100.
