Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
 
Marin Country Club is situated at 500 Country Club Dr, Novato, California, United States of America. It is a Private Course consisting of 18 holes. This course has water on the front nine and is hilly on the back nine. It is a narrow course and requires placement shots off the tee. Robert Muir Graves redesigned the course in 1986. This Course features colored Tees of White, Black, Blue and Red having Yardages of 5794, 6453, 6196 and 5062 with Slope gradients of 127, 133 and 131 for Course ratings of 69.00, 72.10 and 71.10, respectively. 
 
Marin Country Club was built in the year 1954 and was designed by Lawrence Hughes. This Course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and Fairways with Water Hazards and 41 to 50 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers based on the Kirby Marking System. Their training facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area with a Teaching Professional. Spikes are not to be worn and the Course is open to Guests on a Reciprocal basis. The Clubs are available on a rental basis. There is Course access for the Electric Carts and walking.
