Malibu Country Club

Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Malibu Country Club is situated at 901 Encinal Canyon Road, Malibu, California, United States of America. It is a Public Course consisting of 18 holes. This course is set back in Malibu Canyon giving the fairways a rolling topography. Elevation changes will test even the most skilled players' accuracy and water hazards come into play on three holes. Hole 6, a dogleg right par 5 with a blind tee shot, has a creek running along the right side cart path, and a lake borders the left side from about 175 yards out up to the elevated green. Hole 7, a 205 yard, par 3, has a lake sitting between the tee box and the kidney-shaped green, and 9, a 370-yard, par 4, requires an approach shot over another lake. There is no nine hole play allowed on weekends, and golfers who wish to play nine during the week should call a day in advance to get approval from the pro shop.

This Course features colored Tees of Blue, White and Red having Yardages of 6740, 6282 and 5627 with Slope gradients of 132 and 126 for Course ratings of 72.50 and 70.40, respectively. Malibu Country Club was built in the year 1980 and was designed by William F. Bell. This Course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and Fairways with Water Hazards and 51 to 60 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 200, 150 and 100. Spikes are not to be worn and the Course is open to Guests. The Clubs are available on a rental basis.
