Los Altos Golf
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Health land, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Los Altos Golf and Country Club is located in Los Altos, California, United States Of America. The Los Altos golf course is private, consisting of 18 holes. This is a family oriented course. The greens are fast and in very good shape. The course is also very challenging because of the trees and water that come into play on most holes. The course has been redesigned several times over the years, the latest by Ron Fream in the early 1990's. It was built in the year 1923 and was designed by Tom Nicoll. The greens grass type is bent grass and fairways grass type is bermuda grass. Water hazards also come into play along with 51 to 60 sand bunkers.
Driving range is not applicable. It has training facilities like putting green, chipping area, teaching professional. The available on-site golf professional is Brian Inkster. There are no specific dress codes and no discounts systems. It has got rental clubs. The course carts include electric, path access. Walking is allowed for this course member. Privileges like restaurant, snack bar and beverage cart are available. Its surrounding area county is Santa Clara. Homes on course are present and no golf community. Los Altos Golf and Country Club is one of the best Golf courses offering the players suitable playing environment. Its best conditions make it favorable for the players to perform, and come up with their best performance.
