Lakeside Golf Club
Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Lakeside Golf Club is situated at 4500 Lakeside Drive, Burbank, California, United States of America. It is a Private Course consisting of 18 holes. This course was home to many of Hollywood's legends, such as Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, WC Field, Gene Autry, and John Wayne. It is nestled between Warner Bros. and Universal Studios. The design has tight fairways that are lined with mature trees. The greens are small, so accurate approach shots are at a premium. This Course features a tough par 3 is located on hole number 9, which measures 240 yards. The green is well bunkered and appears intimidating from the tee. This course was redesigned by Robert Muir Graves in 1972, and most recently by David Rainville. Their Tees for Championship, Regular and Ladies play have Yardages of 6539, 6272 and 6020 with Slope gradients of 127, 123 and 134 for Course ratings of 71.90, 70.60 and 75.30, respectively. Lakeside Golf Club was built in the year 1924 and was designed Max Behr. This Course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and a Bermuda Grass type for the Fairways with Water Hazards and 71 to 80 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 200, 150 and 100 and marked Sprinkler Heads. Their training facilities provide a Putting Green and a Chipping Area with a Teaching Professional. Spikes are not to be worn and the Course is closed to Guests. There is Course access for the Electric Carts and walking. Caddies are available as well. Their goal isn't just to make the green, it's to improve the quality of the game.
