Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.
The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
Lake Arrowhead Country Club is a famous golf course that is located on the Golf Course Road in Lake Arrowhead suburb of California. It is a private golf course that has 18 holes and is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. It was built in the year 1963 and designed by a renowned designer William F. Bell. The course features includes bent grass type with 71 to 80 sand bunkers and 200, 150, 100 yard markers.
This mountain course is located in the attractive San Bernardino Mountain Range. The fairly flat front nine has been constructed in a meadow, but there is some mounding on a couple of holes that will cause uneven lies. The front nine is longer than the back nine, with three holes measuring more than 420 yards from the men's tee. There are several sand bunkers incorporated throughout the course's design, and the greens are very fast, medium to large in size and undulating. There is a concrete ditch that crosses many of the fairways, but local rules allow for a free drop if you hit into it.

The course also offers sufficient variety of terrain to challenge even the most advanced golfer.
