Golf is an outdoor sport, originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.
 
Indian Hills Golf Club is situated at 5700 Club House Drive, Riverside, California, United States of America. It is an 18 hole, par 70 championship golf course open to the public 365 days a year. Opened in 1965, this Harold Heers and Jimmy Powell golf course has long been considered one of Southern California's best public golf courses. Scenic views, spectacular elevation changes and NO parallel fairways offer each golfer a unique and enjoyable playing experience. This Course features colored Tees of Blue, White and Red having Yardages of 6104, 5836 and 5562 with Slope gradients of 126 and 117 for Course ratings of 70.00 and 68.30, respectively. 
 
Indian Hills Golf Club was built in the year 1965 and was designed by Jim Powell and Harold Heers. This Course has a Bent Grass type for the Greens and a Bermuda Grass type for the Fairways with Water Hazards and 41 to 50 Sand Bunkers. It has Yardage Markers of 200, 150 and 100. Their training facilities provide a Putting Green with a Teaching Professional. Spikes are not to be worn and the Course is open to Guests. The Clubs are available on a rental basis. There is Course access for the Electric Carts and walking. There are Discounts offered for Twilight hours and Junior and Senior players.
