Half Moon Bay Golf Links

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, and Health land, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Half Moon Bay Golf Links is a famous golf course that is located in the Half Moon Bay suburb of California. It is a resort golf course that has 36 holes and is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. It was built in the year 1973 and designed by renowned designers Arnold Palmer and Frank Duane. The course features include Poa Annua grass type with 21 to 30 sand bunkers and 200, 150, 100 yard markers.

The original Links course has been built on rolling terrain with large trees and brush lining the fairways on all the holes except for the two ocean holes, 17 and 18. The greens are medium-sized and slightly undulating. There are many very large and deep sand bunkers. Many of the tees and greens are elevated. The fairways are quite wide with several dogleg designs. The major difficulty in playing the course is the putting, and the wind, which blows most of the time, can require you to use more club than normal and to aim at sand bunkers allowing the wind to blow the ball back to the green.

Open but challenging, Half Moon Bay Golf Links is a California favorite of golfers of all skill levels. It is also one of the premier and superior golf courses that also offers the best hotels and the best features at the best prices. One can start their first golf experience here and can accomplish all expectations for the sport in all dimensions along with great sporting skills.
