Hacienda Golf Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Hacienda Golf Club is a famous golf course that is located in the La Habra Heights of California. It is a private golf course that has 18 holes and is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. It was built in the year 1920 and designed by a renowned designer Max Behr. The course features includes Bent grass type and Bermuda grass fairways with 31 to 40 sand bunkers and 200, 150, 100 yard markers. Hacienda Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in the west of the Rocky Mountains. A major renovation and tree-planting program converted it into a championship course in 1964. There are more than 1,800 trees on the course upsetting play on every hole. The terrain is quite hilly and the undulated greens are small. This club hosted the National Junior Girls Championship in 1967 and was the site of the 1994 event that was won by Tiger Woods with a tournament record of 270 and a course record score or 62.
Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, Hacienda Golf Club offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. The club’s aim is not just to make the green but it is to improve the quality of the game, to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests and members by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
