Seddiner See Golf & Country Club

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.

The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Seddiner See is one of Germany’s great golfing venues and offers an exciting golf course namely the North Course that lies in the heart of the lake district, to the south of Berlin City Centre. The course was founded in 1996 and designed by a renowned architect Robert Trent Jones. The course features a couple of huge lakes one which stretches the entire length of the 9th and 18th holes.

The North Course is also a down home country course where the green fees are good for the entire day. The fairways vary in width, the greens vary in size and undulation, and the terrain varies between flat and rolling. Patches of woodlands are scattered throughout the entire course and at times can cause golfers some real grief.

Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, Seddiner See Golf & Country Club offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels.
