Real Club de Golf Las Brisas
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Real Club is famous for the Championship golf course which has a Parkland layout and was built in 1969 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. It is a private golf course that is extremely well maintained with a great deal of variation. The adornment of the course and the arboretum were handed over to English gardener Gerald Huggan who was an expert in sub tropical botany. The course features include a par 72, 18 holes, and measuring 6817 yards with a 127 slope gradient. Surrounded by beautiful villas, the terrain is pretty even but the many elevated greens, heavily protected by bunkers complicate the approach. The course also includes various water hazards in the form of ten lakes, fed by two streams, while the majority of the greens are raised and strategically protected by bunkers. Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, Championship golf course offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. The club’s aim is not just to make the green but it is to improve the quality of the game, to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests and members by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
