Nowadays, the tranquil waters of Obidos lagoon have become a favourite spot for windsurfing or rowing. Praia d'El Rey is located in a gorgeous and unspoilt region of central Portugal. The nearby village of Peniche was an island in the Atlantic as late as the mid-16th century.
