Pevero Golf Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive. Pevero Golf Club offers a homonymous golf course which is one of the traditional and exciting golf courses and is located on the northern tip of Sardegna, Mediterranean's second biggest island. The course features include a Par 72, measuring 6,681 yards and has 18 total holes. The fairways wind up through the hills, amidst Mediterranean scrub, pine groves, pink granite boulders and natural lakes and ponds. The layout of the Pevero golf course is highly strategic and distance is a matter of relative significance here. A good score at Pevero calls for intelligence and technique rather than power or length off the tees. The course is extremely difficult from the championship tees and during the Italian Open held in 1978, the winner presented a score card of 5 above par. Nevertheless, Pevero is more accessible from the front tees and these should definitively be the choice of average players. Open but challenging, The Pevero is an ideal course for match-play and an extremely stimulating challenge for low and high handicappers alike. Moreover, it is picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside.
