Montecastillo Golf Resort

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.

The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Montecastillo Golf Resort offers an exclusive and recreational Championship golf course that is located in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. The course was established in 1992 and designed by architect Jack Nicklaus. It is a resort golf course that features 18 holes, a 72 par, 138 slope gradient and measures 7,138 yards.

Built on rolling grounds, the layout is incorporated with numerous bunkers defending the elevated greens. Moreover, most tees are set on small hills commanding a wonderful view of the intricacies awaiting golfers. The course is very open and all hazards are very much in play that include water hazards and several out of bounds. The greens and fairways of the course are immaculate, yet from the front tees, it is less off-putting to the amateur who will enjoy a fine round of golf on this magnificent course.

Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, Montecastillo Golf Resort’s Championship Course offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. The club’s aim is not just to make the green but it is to improve the quality of the game, to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests and members by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
