Ljunghusens Golf Club

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.

The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Masters Course is one of the exciting and recreational golf courses offered by the Ljunghusens Golf Club and is located in Hollviken, Sweden. The course was established in 1932 and designed by architect Douglas Brazier. The course features 18 total holes, a Par 72, 142 slope gradient and measures 6,690 yards.

The Masters Course is the best venue for national and international tournaments. With about eighty bunkers and twelve water hazards lining the fairways, and the regular strong breeze driving from the Baltic Sea, this course can be very challenging. From the tees, the fairways seem incredibly narrow, lined as they are by thick heather rough. But it is not really so, and the course is accessible for golfers of all knacks as long as they apply a sound strategy.

Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, the Masters Course offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. The club’s aim is not just to make the green but it is to improve the quality of the game, to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests and members by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
