Golf Les Bordes

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.

Golf Les Bordes course was located in Saint-Laurent-Nouan, France. It was established in 1987. The course was made by architect Robert von Hagge and Jim Shirley.  Les Bordes is set on the Baron's former hunting estate, at the heart of the Sologne country and was literarily carved out of the wilds. Mature forests, marshes and pounds form an outstanding background to an exceptional course. The maintenance of the course is wonderful and the fairway.

This par 72 course has 18 holes measuring 6,409 meters or 7,012 yards with a slope gradient of 148 for a standard scratch score of 75.8 from the championship tees. Les Bordes layout is too thrilling to be mean but it presents its fair load of opportunities for trouble. Water has to be carried over on numerous holes and two holes even require shots over water both off the tee and on the approach to the green. And when water does not enter into play, the narrow, tight tree lined and bunkered fairways will consume any slightly miss shot ball. The first nine is tucked deep into the wood but on the tenth hole, the terrain opens up, offering a breathtaking view over the next five holes.

It is considered as one of the best courses in Europe and some of the supreme in the world. For tee times advanced booking is recommended. Walking is allowed and buggies available. The dress code requirement is proper golf attire.

At Golf Les Bordes, their goal is not to merely make the green but also to improve the quality of the game. They focus to exceed the needs and expectations of their members, guests and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
