El Bosque Golf & Country Club
Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society. El Bosque Golf & Country Club was established in 1972. The club’s president name is Vicente Montes Penades El Bosque and designed by the Master RT Jones Senior. El Bosque is one of the best European courses in its own right, with a slick and testing American style layout. El Bosque Golf & Country Club is perfectly located a short drive from the regional capital and the mile long sandy beaches of this popular holiday destination. Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and raises amidst lush orange groves on the shore of the Mediterranean. This par 72 course has 18 holes measuring 6,367 meters or 7,075 yards with a slope gradient of 141 for a standard scratch score of 73.3 from the championship tees. The course is a challenge to all golfers as there are many hazards that include water, bunkers and wooded copses. The layout bears Robert Trent Jones signature, allowing for a bad drive but the second shot is always the hardest to play. Most of the green are tiny and elevated, protected by well defined bunkers and water, which make the approach difficult and a good club selection paramount. An automatic watering system provides green fairways from tee to green even in the hottest summer months and the sprinklers even cover those areas of the rough which are likely to cause trouble. Overall, the strategy still remains pretty clear, with visible yet dangerous hazards. For tee times advanced booking is recommended, walking is allowed, buggies available and proper golf attire is required. The course is designed specifically to improve the quality of the game. This is target golf at its best, with stunning natural surroundings providing a compelling backdrop to a great round of golf.
