Domaine Imperial Golf Club

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Domaine Imperial Golf Club offers an exciting and recreational golf course that is known as Championship Course. This championship course possesses a woodland layout and was built in the year 1987 by the renowned designer Pete Dye. This course features a Par 72, 18 holes, 129 slope gradient and measures around 6,906 yards. The layout of the course also enjoys an outstanding location with fine views over Lake Geneva, the Jura Mountains and the Alps.

The well designed fairways, deep bunkers, variety of the water and natural hazards with trees, lakes, river, ponds and the intelligence deployed in placing them make this course a permanent challenge requiring every club in the bag. A miniature stream winds through the first nine which wind through a forest of pines and oaks. The second nine is laid out on open grounds and the fairways are alienated by mounding. This course ranks amongst the top 50 courses in Continental Europe and has been the venue of several important professional and amateur tournaments, including the European Masters and the European Amateur Championship.

Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, Championship Course offers a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. The club’s aim is not just to make the green but it is to improve the quality of the game, to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests and members by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
