Chantilly Golf Club

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. This game does not have any fixed standard playing area, but an ideal measurement can be decided as per the availability of space and number of players involved. The game basically originated from Scotland and has been played for at least five centuries in the British Isles. Although often viewed as an elite pastime, golf is now becoming an increasingly popular sport across all sections of society.

Chantilly Golf Club is located in Chantilly, France. It was established in 1906 and designed by architect Tom Simpson and John Abercromby with 36 holes. Chantilly has been the cradle of French horse racing and the springing turf which is perfect for racing also makes for wonderful golf courses. Chantilly Golf Club is one of the most traditional clubs in the Paris area. The club has two championship layouts set in the fine natural environment of the Apremont estate forest the Vineuil course and Les Longeres course.

This par 71 course has 18 holes measuring 6,338 meters or 6,934 yards with a slope gradient of 138 for a standard scratch score of 73.3 from the championship tees. Les Longeres course was designed by Donald Steel and shares the same wooded environment as Vineuil. Just under 7,000 yards and with a slope of 138 from the championship tees, this layout offers a harsh challenge and nicely complement it’s more famous and eldest brother. The sandy soil of the region provides for good drainage and playing conditions are outstanding, even in the wettest condition. This applies as well for Vineuil course. Walking is allowed on the course. Advanced booking is recommended for tee times with particular dress code required. The golf course is one of the Top 100 European Courses and Peugeot Golf Guide in 2002-2003.

At Chantilly Golf Club, their goal is not just to make the green, but to improve the quality of the game. They desire to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests, members and landlords by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
