Beld Golf & Country Club

Golf is an outdoor sport where player as an individual or from varied teams strike a ball targeting a hole using various clubs. The two basic forms of playing golf are match play and stroke play. Golf is played on a tract of land known as the course which consists of a series of holes or cups. Most golf courses usually consist of nine or eighteen holes. There are several types of golf courses namely Parkland, Links, Healthland, Desert, Browns, Sand, Snow, Par3 and Executive.

Beld Golf & Country Club offers two courses namely the King Course and the Lake Course. Both the courses are designed by a renowned architect Donald Harradine. However, the King course was built in 1972 and is one of the recreational golf courses. It is laid on a plateau sixty meters above the Sava river canyon and enjoys the dramatic backdrop of the Karwankel and Triglav mountain ranges. The course is a Par 72 with 18 holes and measures almost 6,934 yards. The terrain has a slight roll and is covered by lush alpine forests and the course has no water hazards in play. Landing areas are wide and fair and the fairways make an intelligent use of the wealth of trees.

The Lake course on the other hand was built in 1991 and is an excellent nine holler that extends over 68 acres of alpine pasture and forests enjoying a comparable breathtaking setting as its championship sister course. The Lake's Course has three small lakes and serves as an excellent alternative to the King’s course and a perfect complement to the PGA, Professional Golfers’ Association Bled Golf Academy.

Open but challenging and picturesque with beautiful flowers, wildlife and a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, the King course and the Lake course offer a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. The club’s aim is not just to make the green but it is to improve the quality of the game, to exceed the needs and expectations of their guests and members by maintaining superior golf facilities and providing exceptional service at a great value.
